It is smart to invest some money into any necessary repairs and small upgrades to your home. However, you don't want to invest in any large, expensive projects as you probably won't get your money back. Instead, make sure you fix any leaky faucets, unclog slow drains, and replace burnt-out lightbulbs. Simple upgrades like light landscaping, a fresh coat of paint, and new fixtures are inexpensive and can really pay off.
